Plug Materials: J&R Plastics works very closely with a leading composite foam plug vender. We are proud to be able to offer you such a vast selection of plug materials. All the materials have a low thermal conductivity and a service temperature of 350 0F (180 0C). Each plug material is designed for specific applications.

WHITE: Offers lower heat transfer, reducing warm-up time and virtually eliminating material sticking to the plug. The is an economical solution and may be used with most commonly thermoformed materials, as well as some of the more exotic materials available today.

GREEN: A new material that combines the excellent strength and durability of the best syntactics with the low friction of Teflon. This combination provides excellent material flow with very little friction. It will also reduce sticking of difficult to process polymers such as HDPE.

BLUE: The first plug material to combine the toughness of engineered thermoplastics with the low thermal conductivity of a syntactic foam. This is an extremely strong material that resist chipping and cracking. It is the perfect selection when plugging in very narrow areas.
